Fast service, friendly staff. They do a good job of not letting it get too busy which makes it far more of an enjoyable place to have a drink.

Customer service is not this place’s strength. We were waiting outside for opening, so we could go and watch the football. Lady was putting out stools and snapped at us that ‘we’re not opening!!’ They were due to open 5 minutes later. Maybe the response could have been ‘we’re not open yet guys, but you’re more than welcome to come in out of the rain and we’ll serve you as soon we open, in 5 minutes’.
After she came out again and slammed the door, we left and took our custom down the road to Biddy Mulligans who were super friendly as soon as we stepped through the door.

Guinness was poor and it was a very young crowd. Not my cup of tea.
There are plenty of big tvs with different football games on though so can imagine it’s quite popular with many.

Spent a fabulous evening here, absolutely fantastic music, staff very welcoming and friendly, top place to spend a relaxing time. Definitely be back

Was looking forward to a night of fun and live music, but was refused entrance bc my wife (27) didn’t have ID - had her mobile so could show photo of passport and even opened her NHS app which proves DoB, but divvy doorman couldn’t see past his own inflated opinion. Of course most readers will say he was just doing his job, and I appreciate that doormen are licensed by the SIA etc, but it was clear and utter BS! Anyway, the reason for posting isn’t to give this pub a bad mark, but to share that it turned out to be an absolute blessing in disguise as we ended up a a fantastic piano bar next to our hotel - Rat Pack. Absolutely superb!

LOVE this place! It has been my university go-to great night out since first year! Now in my final year I can truly thank the bouncer Stu for always ensuring me and my friends have a great night in Finnegans and always feel safe !! Thanks Stu, you are a legend !
